The Caucasian rugs are a group of handmade carpets by the tribes in the Caucasus mountains, which is now comprised of 5 different countries such as, Russia, Turkey, Iran, Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan.

All of this beautiful hand crafted pieces, follow a similar geometrical patterns. You can sometimes find a Caucasian rug with animal figures and notice that their shapes are somewhat geometrical, characteristically made by a native tribe.
Some other shapes that you might find on this type of rugs, are hooks and octagonal medallions. The most prominent colors used to make Caucasian carpets, are teal and red, althought a huge variation of colors are sometimes used.
