Mashad Rugs
Mashad rugs often have a single central medallion. They come in different qualities, the wool being used making the main difference. A busy, floral pattern with curvilinear motifs is very commun in Mashad area rugs. The dominant colors in hand knotted Mashad rugs are usually blue and rich dark red. Persian Mashad rugs mostly come in large sizes. The density of the weave can be anywhere between 120 to 450 KPSI.
