Our Custom Program gives you the freedom to customize the look and feel of any rug in our existing programmed rug collection. A "program rug" is a popular pattern that we always have in stock in multiple sizes ready to be sent out as is or modified ("programmed") by you as "made to order". When customers see a program rug they like, they can request modifications including color changes or different fibers, for example an all-wool rug can be custom woven in wool and silk. Hand-knotting your new rug takes time, so be sure to factor this and any interim modifications into your design timeline. Depending on the complexity of your request and the size of the rug, the timeline will be between 90 and 150 days. Our experts can walk you through the entire process and projected timeline. Your unique customized program rug begins with the consultation and progresses weeks later to a digital strike-off (e-strike) – a "sample" of your finished rug. Once you approve or request changes, we weave a small physical strike-off sized approximately 2' x 3'. This physical strike-off allows you to see and feel exactly what your finished rug will be like. This is an important stage since colors can look different when viewed as an e-strike. Once you approve the physical strike-off, weaving will begin. If you request changes to the physical strike-off the process lengthens. Remember all our rugs are handmade by our artisans. Always. We don't sell any other kind.
